Indian Curry makes the most flavorful pizza topping you’ve ever tasted in these Easy Indian Pizzas. Using just four ingredients, including naan as a base, these pizzas aren’t just delicious, but they come together in less than 20 minutes.

If you’ve ever tried Desi Pizza, you know why Indian-style pizzas became so popular in recent years. Indian-style curries pack a ton of flavor in a small package and they make the most unexpected and delicious topping for naan pizza. And while, like all pizza, the sky is the limit when it comes to toppings, these are absolutely delicious in their simplest form. I use Trader Joe’s to grab 4 ingredients and make them in just a few minutes, but almost any grocery store will carry prepared Indian curries that make it easy to create these pizzas.

How to make Indian Pizzas

They are super easy!

  1. Place naan, flatbread, or any pizza dough on a baking sheet.
  2. Spread the bread with your favorite Indian curry (leftovers are great for these!)
  3. Top with mozzarella cheese.
  4. Bake until the cheese is melted, at 400°F for about 10 minutes
  5. Top with cilantro, slice and serve!

Ingredients

  • Packed Indian Curries – Use your favorite. If you’re shopping at Trader Joe’s grab the 10-ounce packets of Indian Fare Tikka Vegetables or Indian Fare Madras Lentils. The vegetables have more flavor, but the lentils have more protein. Any variety of prepared or packaged Indian curries work well and will flavor the pizzas with Indian spices. Or you can even grab an Indian-style simmer sauce and combine it with your protein of choice (like chicken or lentils).
  • Flatbread or Naan – Grab one per serving.
  • Mozzarella cheese – You want to go for a mild, creamy cheese that won’t detract from the flavorful curry. Mozzarella works well here.
  • Cilantro – For a fresh topping.

Recipe Tips

  • Indian Pizzas are a great way to use leftovers after your next Indian meal. Save whatever curry you have left and use it to top pizzas.
  • Use an Indian simmer sauce from the grocery store and combine it with shredded chicken, cooked lentils, or chickpeas.
  • Look for other varieties of Indian curries to make these pizzas – Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Paneer, and Tandoori are great on pizza.
  • Use your favorite pizza dough instead of naan.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.
