Ingredients

  • 1 4 inch strip Lime Peel
  • 1 teaspoon grated Fresh Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Boiling Water
  • 1 1/2 ounces Whiskey
  • Slice of Lime and / or Lime Leaf, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • In the bottom of a cocktail glass, muddle the lime peel, ginger, and brown sugar until fragrant.
  • Pour boiling water and whisky over aromatics. Add a lime leaf, if using. Let sit for 5 minutes to let the flavors come together.
  • Serve warm.

Notes

If you don’t have a muddler, you can use the back of a spoon or the handle of a wooden spoon to mash / blend everything together to release the flavors.
