We have “a thing” for candles in this apartment. It’s only developed since we moved to Bangkok. I suspect it brings some homeyness to our rented apartment full of furniture that is not our own. Our recent visitors have made me realize that my everyday use of candles is not all that common. More than one visitor in our house has asked “is this something you do just for guests?”. But no…I light a mess of candles nearly every night.
Just because it’s Tuesday. Or just because we’re having chickpea sandwiches for dinner. What can I say? It’s lovely. 😉
After months of candle obsession, and a growing collection of candles and their accouterments, I’d finally had it with the drawer in which we were storing them.
Yikes. I think this was on a good day.
On a Pinterest kick one afternoon, I saw these pretty covered boxes on Real Simple, and decided to do a quick fix on our candle drawer.
I took three shoeboxes and wrapping paper that we already had around the house.
I wrapped the boxes a bit like I would wrap a present, using double-sided tape to secure the paper on each side.
